Patricia M Hill

Born 1933 Brentford Middlesex.

Last child born to Albert and Alice Hill, in 1958 Patricia married Leslie Donald Docwra, known as Les.

They had three children, Amanda J Docwra registered Surrey North Western in 1960, Christopher J Docwra born 1963, Middlesex South and Nicholas Robert Docwra registered in 1967 Surrey Northern.

Leslie died in 1991 registered in Surrey, just 55 years old, very sad. He was always one with a quick wit, a funny comment and I recall him being good fun to be with.

Again for me Aunty Patricia was like all my aunts and uncles, always ready to give you a hug and a warm welcome, always laughing, my main recollection of all the aunts and uncles, they were mostly a happy bunch despite some difficult times as they grew  up with 12 mouths to feed!  Again my recollection is they were welcome generous souls mostly with a good sense of humour and mostly got on quite well.

Always looked forward to seeing Uncle Les and Aunty Pat as they were always good fun and nearly always made me laugh.

Recall I had my first car, fairly old mini, Navy Blue with a white roof. Was cleaning like it was a Rolls Royce, it’s first clean since buying it.. Uncle Les arrived, once all the family were out of ear he said to me “David, you know what to do if a bird poos on your windscreen” thinking he was being serious “no” I replied.

What did he say to me “Never go out with her again”. Repeated that many times not always with the polite word Poo.

Still makes me smile.

RIP Uncle Les.
